My Rusty Muse!! and a special birthday!!!

This is my new cool little sign I made for my Rusty Junque Creations!! It is made from a pop top I found in the parking lot at the grocery store. And then I typed with my old vintage typewriter "FRAN'S JUNQUE" I have it sitting in a litte rusty spring I found.
I had been thinking for quite awhile that I wanted to make things from my rusty little finds. So I just went for it!!!

And this is what I came up with!! It is small and is on 2 inch wooden spool. The sheep is up cycled from an old coat and I used a rusty car part and rusty larger washer. I grubbied it up real good and dryed it in the sun!! This turned out so awesome and I LOVED it!! It SOLD in like 15 minutes after I put it on my facebook page!! Woo Hoo!! It lives in Virginia now!! I have another one almost ready to be finished!! And I am diggin it!! I am designing more too. I always see things in the junque I pick up. It feels real good to know that other people love what I make also. I guess I am officially an up cycled artist now!! LOL

On Friday we went down and celebrated Caylee's 3rd birthday!! She is so cute. We got her gardening stuff so she can be like Papa Sim and Grannie Frannie. We found a Little Princess greenhouse that was so cool. And got her some gloves and things to go with it.

I LOVE this picture of Caylee and her Daddy. Ryan and Christine got her a bike. Daddy is telling her how to ride it!! Precious moments!! That is her Mommy's legs in the pic!! I just captured this moment and I was so glad I did. She is  such a blessing!!
I am just working around the house and enjoying the sunshine and nice weather. To soon to go outside to work. But in a week or so I will feel more like it. I always have a lot of things I can work on inside!! LOL I want to make more things with my rusty goodies. I have been waiting along time to get my mojo going on it. And now it is here!! LOL I want to be able to go find more rusty goodies too. That part is a lot of fun!! Hope you are all doing great!!
Peace Out Love ya
XOXO Fran.

Valentine's Made In Michigan!!!

WOW is all I can say!! Janicehttp://primsbythewater.blogspot.com/ sure blessed me for our swap that Amy hosted. Janice lives in Michigan too. She knew my favorite colors are brown and orange. She made me this primitive awesome doll and I LOVE the colors and pattern she picked. She made the crow and baby cupid too. And a sweet heart that says Hugs on it.

She also included these awesome hearts she made from the material that matches the doll. They are so cool they look like they are frosted. So sweet. I feel like I went to a store and got to pick out these awesome treasures!!!

Janice likes red white n blue. So I made her a set of my new "Kin Folk" in a cool wool plaid. I sure love making these.

I also added these goodies. Janice and I both go to the thumb of Michigan. Me more in the summer and she is blessed by living there. I upcycled a jar from the General store at the museum in Port Sanilac with vintage strawberries. I grubbied up a small year long calender and clipped with a vinatge clothes pin, a wooden heart that I put her and her husbands name on with my vintage typewriter. I got a spoon at the flea market with the name of a city she lives by. The pen is made by Brooke for her workshop. And some coffee and cookies. I LOVED putting this together for Janice!!! Thanks so much Amy for hosting this awesome swap.

And here is alittle teaser of what I am working on right now. My pattern I've been making and re-making!! LOL The material is from my cuzins husband coat from the inside of it that he could no longer wear. And a baby blanket. Oh my goodness it is turning out so gosh darn cute!! I know I will have it done very soon. I get so excited. LOL You know I will be posting pics real soon!!
Love ya all bunches!!
XOXO Fran.

Check out my little cuties!!

Meet "Jazz"! the newest critter from thebagglady!!!

She's pretty groovey and primitive!! I loved hand making her!! I designed her dress and put that sweet prim flower on her!! She is upcycled from a man's shirt. I grubbied her up real good in the warm oven!! And she smells yummo!! She's been known to play in the swamp and hang out with the other bagglady critters that are showing up around the house. She can sit or hang!! She's ready to go in the shoppe!!

And check out this little cutie Kaitlin dancing around with her in the livingroom! Even Kaitlin thinks she's a cutie!! Well I am off to start the day and make more critters!! I just love making them!! The mice are starting to move out to good homes. The frogs will be jumping around here like crazy and the piggs are gonna be playing in the mud again!! Oh my!!
XOXO Love ya, Fran.

Upcycling, Organizing, Cleaning, ETC. ETC.

I have been seeing alot of these on line. For the longest time I have wanted to make one. On my vacation I found an old vintage Bobbsey Twins book and a Nance Drew one for 25 cents each. Well I just couldn't bring myself to use the Nancy Drew book. I still read them!! I'm not sure if I'm gonna trim out the cover or leave it as is. I just made it today. It is so easy and I love how it turned out!! It will hold things like this and business and Moo cards I get.

Awhile back Sim and I went on a hike behind an old abandoned Grain Elevator up in the thumb. I was so excited cuz there is a special dumping ground behind there with a lot of goodies!! Especially jars! And they aren't broken! I carried as much as I could! LOL I washed this one and added twine some grubby lace and a rusty washer I had found. I put some rusty pieces inside along with this pic of two old farmers I got in a box at an auction. I just love it!! I've got more bottles to play with too!!

I am not done with this display yet. But I wanted to show you some of the dishes I got for 10 cents each, and I got the vintage dish drainer for 25 cents. I plan on changing it out with the seasons. I'm gonna add some Fall yumminess to this one and then change it for Christmas I have some more dishes for that. Anyways I know I'll have fun with it.

I am in a year long monthly tag swap and this is the tag I made for August for my partner. I gathered goodies from the beach on Lake Huron from our vaca. I used my vintage typewriter that Sim got me this summer at a church sale for $5.00. I also have another one. I love the font on these old typewriters. I love the way it turned out.

The other day Brooke brought me a package from the mail and in it was this surprise from Trace' http://www.grannytracescrapsandsquares.com/ It is one of her awesome mats with cherries on it!! I love cherries!! She also sent me some really groovey buttons that are owls and fall leaves!! I can't wait to use them.
I have been organizing and cleaning my closet into a pantry that Sim has fixed up for me. I haven't had a real pantry before so I am excited. We get our furnace fixed next week and he is going to remodel the hallway for me and I can not wait for that! I will definitely be posting about it!! It is gonna have barn wood and we are going to be painting too. I sold "Betty Bow Wow" to a sweet Michigan friend so I am working on another dog doll. I can not believe August is almost over!! It's gotten hot again so I am hoping I can keep my mojo up and keep on keeping on!! I would love to do some baking!!
XOXO Love, Fran.
