BlueBird of Happiness!!

This is my OOAK hand sewn and designed by me BLUEBIRD.

Her Funky necklace is a book mark.
Her Market bagg turned out so cool.

And her dress is just like the color of the breast of the real Blue Birds. We have them here in the Spring and Summer. I get so excited when they show up. I have named this one ROSIE after my Mom. We had a special bond of bluebirds.
I have decided to take special orders on my Blue Birds. The dress material may differ as I got this one thrifting. This one is mine. If interested just let me know.

And isn't it so cool when your grown kids get you!! And give you the sweetest gifts!! This is from Ryan and Christine. Ryan is in Africa til March and this is perfect. Sim and I both LOVE coffee and take trips in the car a lot with it. They say Proud Navy Dad and Mom!! This gave me tears when I opened it!!

AND this very cool rusty Coffee Can came from Nick n Danielle, Madeline's mommy n daddy. They know me so well that when they found this very old coffee can workin on their house they saved it for me for Christmas and put the flowers in it for me!! I love it!!

And the very cool deer with the flowers are from Sim.

I have been takin down the Christmas, but will leave these cool deer out for the winter. We finally got some snow last night and today. We'll see how long it lasts cuz now it's suppose to rain. Prayin it doesn't freeze.

Keep on Keepin on!!
XOXO Love Fran.

Hey there Chicas!!

Hola from Madeline Grace!! She has her Papa Sim's Navy hat on so we could send a pic down to her Uncle Ryan who is Africa with the Navel Reserves with just 2 months more to finish his year assignment!!

And this is Caylee Roxanne, Ryan's baby girl my other grannie girl!! She and Mommy came up for Christmas with us!! They live about an hour away and it was so awesome they came up for Christmas Day. We picked out 4 different menus and let Caylee pick one out. She picked out Tacos!! So we had a Taco Bar and I made White Chicken Chili and lot's of other goodies!! It was so much fun!!

It was so cool both girls had on Christmas dresses that matched only one was green and the other red. They didn't know it!! lol

AND my baby girl Kaitlin was here from Connecticut!! It truly was an awesome family Christmas!!

This is Madeline's great big bear her Daddy got her for her first Christmas. Kaitlin really liked the Bear too!! lol In the background is the cool barn wood Bird house Sim made for Nick n Danielle. It is like our church we attend uptown. We had a homemade Christmas this year and I think it was one of the best. I sure enjoyed havin everyone here. AND some how the great big bear seems to be hangin out here!! hmm...

Just before Christmas we went to a benefit dinner for a local gal with heart problems and a lot of medical bills. I bought a couple of tickets to try and win a shellac for my nails. AND by golly I won! I couldn't get in before Christmas so I had them done today!! I felt so cool and pampered!! Wish I could afford to keep it up!! But at least I'll have them for a few weeks. I am gonna try to do it myself more often. I sure feel jazzy!!

These cool brooches I made are uptown in a new lil shoppe that is trying to make a go of it. It's called THE HOPE CHEST. She's just opening up and wanted some of my things.
I am so geeked I have three orders right now, one for a daschund dog, two mice, and a Mrs Farmer Crow doll for three different people!! Woo Hoo what an awesome way to start the New Year out with!! It is my goal in the New Year to do better in my Etsy shoppe, and on my blog!! And to design and create a lot more. I feel like I am moving in that direction already!! God is good. I have been praying a lot!!
Kaitlin is leaving tomorrow to go back to Connecticut. She's at her Dad's house tonight as it is an early flight and I don't do early very well. lol I miss her already. We went to Applebee's today and just hung out and last night we caught up on our Pretty Little Liars shows. New ones start next week!! I just feel so blessed.

Keep on Keepin on!!
XOXO

Check out my Cool "Hot Cocoa Bar"

Oh my goodness on Saturday I did a Craft Bazaar in a little town not to far from here. I always make my Home Made Cocoa this time of year. I just kept thinking I wanted to set up a "HOT COCOA BAR"!! So that is what I did!! And it was a big hit. So I am going to be expanding it at the next show I am doing! LOL You can't tell in this picture but I have my stuff displayed on a vintage sled. I will be doing a 2 day show at my church that I am co-chairing. Which by the way is making me exhausted!! LOL there is a lot of work putting on a show especially if you want it to be a successful one!! and be in it!!!
So I am mainly working on that and some other small items. I really want to get this done so I can work on some more of those really cool "JUNQUE CHICK" brooches!! LOL I found some cool rusty stuff on the ground today!! I am always looking!!

If you look on the right side of the sled and Cocoa goodies you can see a small Christmas Tree. On that Christmas Tree are real grungy small boys socks that I added Snowman faces to and loops. I didn't have enough time to do what I really wanted to do BUT for the next one I will be adding Cone bags of Home Made Cocoa inside of them and I have already made grubby tags for them that are in the shape of coffee cups. I had more guys walk up and tell me how cool they were!! I loved it!! I can't wait to get them finished!!
If only there were more hours in the day!!

 Keep on Keepin On!!
XOXO Love ya Fran.

HAPPY FUNKY FALL!!!

Hope you guys are havin a great groovey Fall!! When you come to the Funky Farmhouse our scarie Scare Crow will welcome you with open arms. And an alter of Maple leaves pumpkins n gourds and lights lead you to our home!!

We don't have a light on our porch and we have no street lights. So I asked Sim to make me a porch light as I was havin the church ladies over for a meeting and some groovey Fall treats. This is what he came up with!! That is our scare crow from our garden this summer. We call him Otis T. Hicks. A branch of our Maple tree  some rusty funky junk and BOOM it's an awesome welcome!!! It's even cooler with the lights on. The only cost was the 50 cent pumpkins and gourds I bought adding up to $3.00. The leaves are leaving the trees around here but it sure has been pretty. Thanks for stopping by.

Keep on Keepin on

iT's GoNE!!!

Well we tore down our little funky garden on Monday. This is the last pick of my banana peppers which were very awesome this year.  I got 7 lil bags to freeze from this bunch.

I LOVE using them in my Funky farm House dinners that are so easy to make. I also LOVE using them with onions and fried potatoes. This lil dinner here cost me around $3.00 to make for the whole thing. Gotta digg that.

OH MY GOSH I have been watching our sweet Little Madeline Grace. I had her 4 times last week. She loves to look up at this mirror I have with all of the vintage jewelry on it. She is sure getting to this Grannie's heart.

This is a new gig for my Etsy Shoppe I threw together. I used a piece of an old cutter quilt and a new little hand sewed bird I added to some moss and a chicken feather I added to finish it off and one of my lil grubby tags that says "Bird Dog". This is an old vintage dog planter.

This is my new FALL "JUNQUE GIRL". I LOVE LOVE how she turned out!! I SOLD this one before she was even finished. One of my Best Friends bought her from me!! We are going shopping and out to lunch tomorrow and I am using the money I made to have fun with!! and she loves her new Fran. original!!

Just been keeping busy and trying to get things done for the changing of the season. One thing about it though Fall is sure beautiful!!!

Keep on Keepin on!!
Peace Out!!
XOXO Love Fran.

Proud Daddy Nick holding her!! Already Madeline has made this family so blessed and happy! She's so sweet!! The new family will be coming home today!! This Grannie is so excited!!

Some other things that have been going on around here!!

I have been gardening around here in my new/old boots!! And my lettuce is coming in and I have already made two Taco salads from it!! Boy is good!! I have also been working on the front of the house. I am digging up a lot of it and it is taking me a long time!! LOL And now it's been raining!!

Here is a Funky Farm gathering I have been working on. I finally got it done!! I love how it turned out!! Anyone wanna buy some berries? in a vintage cheese box with a little friend in it? LOL This will be goin to the shoppe.

And you all know my love for GOATS!! This lil sweetie was so much fun to make!! I got the material at an estate sale and it actually is some shirts someone was making and didn't finish. I love using polyester from days gone by. I added some patriotic pins to "Uncle Sam" on his ear kinda like the tags they use on the goats at the Fairs. This is my own design I made from my pics I have of the goats from the County fair. Alittle funky for sure!!!

I can't believe how fast the summer is going!! Kaitlin has been here for 2 weeks and is leaving at the end of the week!! I am sure gonna miss her!! I will be kickin out some more gigs. I need to sew to help keep my mind busy!! LOL

Have a groovey day!!

Madeline Grace is blessed with a lot of G-MA's!! And there are 2 Great G-Ma's not in the pic!!

This is the first time I had my Irises bloom!! LOL I added the pine cuz I knew it didn't have any poison ivy in it!! I have been dealing with poison ivy for a few weeks now!! Had to stop gardening which killed me!! Now I am gardening in long sleeves and jeans and taking a lot of showers from the heat!! LOL

I also whipped up another Coffee Cup Coozie!! Why should only tea have them?

I also made this "JunQue Garden Tomato" pin keep!! Oh I had a lot of fun making it!! Check out my cool worm!! I am so proud of it!! This is already in the shoppe which you can go to on m sidebar!! I would love for you to stop by!! and I am making another "JunQue Garden Tomato" and strawberries too!! I think I love the tomatoes the best!!

Here is one of my farm house dinners. I didn't have enough tin foil to make pockets so I just put it in my big glass pan. It was so yummy!! I just used chicken legs that were on sale!! I have been dieting and I have lost 6 lbs!! which is amazing for me it's been less than a month!! How true it is if you eat right it helps!! I feel better and have more energy too!!

Well off to the garden and then more sewing on the strawberries!!
Keep on Keepin on my groovey friends!!
XOXO BOOM
Love ya Fran.
